The great ones adjust

My assistant Noah brought a phrase with him to Rhody. It stuck. It's just part of the culture now.

"The great ones adjust."

He says it when the bar isn't where someone wanted it. When the schedule shifts. When the plan goes sideways.

This past week, our weight room got covered in tarps. Roof repairs. Two full weeks.

We adjusted. Moved locations. Baseball team training in a cardio room. Playing in a Conference Championship 5 days later. We kept the standard.

Because the great ones adjust.

But that phrase doesn't just live in the weight room. It lives everywhere.

It's the coach who walks away from coaching for a job that gives his family a better life.

It's the coach whose best players just graduated and left him with big shoes to fill.

It's everyone reading this who has been dealt something they didn't ask for.

There are always going to be challenges. Difficulties. Issues you didn't see coming.

The measure of a man isn't the size of the challenge.

It's how he handles it.

The great ones adjust.

Keep the Fire Burning,

Leech
