This week’s letter is short and sweet. Why do we do what we do?
That’s the question that continues to float in and out of my mind this week. The beauty of this question is the ways the answer can go for each person.
I could say that I do my job to provide my wife and son the best life possible. One where we are financially secure, yet also active and present in their lives.
I could say that I coach to change the lives of our student-athletes. As an Associate AD, I’m trying to make changes and impacts that will help ALL of our student-athletes for years to come, more so than just improving lives through coaching.
I could say that I share information and courses on social media to make an impact on the entire sport of football. If I can educate more coaches out there, they’ll provide a better program for more athletes than I ever could by myself. The goal is to help as many as possible and move the field of S&C forward for the better. o
As you go through the weekend, take a moment and ask yourself “ Why do I do what I do? ”
Hopefully you have a life full of meaning. Answers to that question that you’re proud of. And if you can’t answer that question yet, you’re one action step away from a purpose driven life.
Keep the fire burning,
Leech
