The break is over. The itch is back.
I am ready to get back to the grind and start the long climb toward next year’s championship.
The Easy Part vs. The Hard Part
Writing the program is easy. Anyone can open Excel and plan out sets, reps, and drills. That is just math.
The hard part is the intangible side.
What lessons are we going to emphasize? What message are we going to anchor ourselves to when the work gets heavy?
That is where the season is actually won or lost.
Reverse Engineer the Result
This year, the focus is simple: Identity.
We aren't waiting for the title to dictate our behavior. We are defining who we want to become, and we are building those habits NOW.
You don’t become an All-American and then start working hard.
You don’t become a team leader and then start holding people accountable.
You have to possess the habits and the work ethic of a starter before you ever see the field.
We are going to clearly define the target. Then, we are going to work like we are already there.
If you want the result, you have to pay the rent every single day.
What is your message?
I want to know what theme you are leaning on this offseason. Reply to this email and let me hear it.
