Sharks

This week during preseason we spent some time talking about Sharks. Some species can't stop swimming. If they do, they can't breathe and they die. It's a reminder that some things in life rely on perpetual motion. They have to stay on the hunt. Stay moving. And while we're not sharks, there's a lesson here for us coaches. We often hear about the importance of stepping back, slowing down, taking breaks. But for those of us who thrive on the grind, who find purpose in staying engaged, it's not in our nature to stay still. Just like those sharks, we often do better when we keep moving, keep challenging ourselves, keep projects on our plate. Smooth waters might look appealing, but they rarely produce the growth we’re after. Sharks thrive in Violent Waters. So, this week, let’s embrace our inner shark. Let’s recognize that some of us are built to keep swimming, keep striving, and keep pushing the limits. And that’s not just okay, it’s exactly what makes us who we are. Keep the Fire Burning, Leech

P.S. - All this water talk goes hand in hand with the free Hydration Tracker I gave out on social media yesterday. Here's the Google Sheet to make your own copy, and here's the Video that explains exactly how we use it with our football team to keep them safe and hydrated during preseason!
