The Reward

When I was a kid, youth football had weight limits. You had to make 125, then 150, and finally 175 by middle school.

I had no shot at making those cuts. I was too big. That meant I had to play up with kids two or three years older than me.

Every single day, I showed up and competed against guys who were literally a league ahead of me. I took my lumps. I fought for every rep I could get.

It took me a long time to learn the lesson hidden in those practices. The reward for hard work is just more hard work.

Think about the weight room. You bust your ass for twelve weeks. Your squat goes up fifty pounds. Your prize? The math changes. Every future workout just got heavier.

Think about your career. You go above and beyond. You get the promotion. Your reward is a heavier burden, higher expectations, and more stress.

When you hit a point in life where the pressure feels overwhelming, you need to reframe it. The massive workload on your plate right now is not a punishment. It is the direct result of the effort you put in yesterday.

You earned the right to carry this weight. Conquer this chapter. Then get ready to carry more.

Keep the Fire Burning,

Leech
