Coach, a 300-pound squat tells you how a kid moves a dead bar. It tells you nothing about what he brings into a 240-pound linebacker at full speed.

Weight room numbers are vanity metrics. Violence is a skill, and physicality shows up as mass moving fast into a collision. Two kids with the same 40 time can hit like different animals. That is what the Hit Stick number is for.

A higher Hit Stick means the athlete brings more force into contact. Two kids with the same 40 time can post very different hit-stick numbers, because mass matters in a collision. A fast light kid and a fast heavy kid do not hit the same.

Athletic performance is Peak Force times Rate of Force Development. Power and velocity, not just strength. That is why the bar in the weight room lies and this number does not. Train the jump and the fly-10, hold the bodyweight, and this number climbs.
